Caterina Magni facts for kids
Caterina Magni (born in 1966) is a French archaeologist and anthropologist. This means she studies ancient human history and cultures. She was born in Italy but is now French. Caterina Magni is an expert in the pre-Columbian cultures of Mesoamerica, especially the Olmec civilization. She focuses on their art, symbols, and beliefs. Since 2001, she has been a professor of Mesoamerican archaeology at the University of Paris IV: Paris-Sorbonne in Paris, France.
Magni has written many articles for science journals about Olmec art and symbols. She has also written two books. She is a member of the Société Archéologique du Midi de la France, which is an archaeological society in Southern France.
