Cave is a small town in the Timaru District on the South Island of New Zealand. It is about 23 kilometers (14 miles) north-west of the city of Timaru. The town is located right on State Highway 8, which is a main road.

One important building in Cave is St. David's Memorial Church. It was built in 1930 and designed by Herbert W. Hall. This church is considered a very important historical building by Heritage New Zealand.

Even though the town is called Cave, there are no actual caves for people to visit right in the town itself. The name "Cave" comes from several limestone caves found in the wider area around the town.
