What is the Cave Nebula?
The Cave Nebula gets its name because it looks a bit like a cave or a dark hollow in space. Its official name is Sh2-155, and it's a place where new stars are being born! This nebula is a giant cloud made mostly of hydrogen gas and tiny dust particles. When hot, young stars form inside or near it, their powerful energy makes the gas glow, creating the stunning colors we see.
