Cedric Boswell (born July 21, 1969) is an American professional boxer. He was known as The Bos and was seen as a promising heavyweight fighter when he started his career in 1994. He had a great record of 34 wins and only 2 losses, with 26 of his wins coming by knockout!

Early Boxing Days

Before turning professional, Cedric Boswell was a talented amateur boxer. He even beat another famous boxer, Shannon Briggs, during a big competition called the National Golden Gloves quarterfinals. This showed he had a lot of skill and potential.

Becoming a Pro Boxer

Cedric Boswell, nicknamed "The Bos," started his professional boxing journey in 1994. He had an amazing start, winning his first 21 fights in a row! Many of these wins were quick knockouts.

In 2003, he faced a tough opponent named Jameel McCline. Cedric lost this fight in the 10th round. After this, he took a break from boxing and didn't fight again until 2006.

A big moment in his career happened in August 2008. Cedric fought an undefeated boxer named Roman Greenberg, who had won all 27 of his fights. Cedric surprised everyone by winning with a knockout in the second round! This was a huge victory for him.

By July 2009, Cedric had a record of 30 wins and only 1 loss. He was ranked among the top heavyweight boxers in the world by the International Boxing Organization. He was also ranked 14th in the United States in his weight class.

On December 3, 2011, Cedric Boswell fought Alexander Povetkin for a major boxing title (the WBA regular heavyweight title). The fight took place in Helsinki, Finland. Cedric lost this match, but it was a chance for him to compete for a world championship.
