Cedric Boswell (born July 21, 1969) is an American professional boxer. He is known as "The Bos". When he first started his professional boxing career in 1994, many people thought he would become a top heavyweight boxer.

Cedric Boswell was a talented boxer from Detroit, Michigan. He became known for his strong punches and his determination in the ring.
Early Days and Amateur Fights
Before turning professional, Cedric was a successful amateur boxer. This means he fought for fun and experience, not for money. One of his big achievements was beating another well-known boxer, Shannon Briggs. He won against Briggs by points at the National Golden Gloves quarterfinals. This showed he had real potential.
Starting as a Professional Boxer
Cedric began his professional career in 1994. He had an amazing start, winning his first 21 fights in a row! He beat many opponents, which led to a big match against Jameel McCline in 2003. In that fight, McCline won by a TKO (Technical Knockout) in the 10th round. After this loss, Cedric took a break from boxing and did not fight again until 2006.
Big Fights and Comebacks
Cedric made a strong comeback in 2006. In August 2008, he faced an undefeated boxer named Roman Greenberg, who had won all 27 of his fights. Cedric surprised everyone by winning with a TKO in the second round! This was a huge victory for him.
By July 2009, Cedric's record was 30 wins and only 1 loss. He was ranked among the top heavyweight boxers in the world by the International Boxing Organization. He was also ranked 14th in the United States in the heavyweight division.
On December 3, 2011, Cedric had another major fight. He challenged Alexander Povetkin for the WBA (regular) heavyweight title. This important match took place in Helsinki, Finland. Cedric lost this fight, but he showed great courage by competing for a world title.
