Center Village is a small place in Ohio. It's not a city or a town with its own government. Instead, it's called an unincorporated community. This means it's part of a larger area called Harlem Township in Delaware County. It's located in the U.S. state of Ohio, in the United States.

History

How Center Village Started

Center Village has had a few different names over time. People also called it Center, Centre Village, or Centerville. The community was officially planned and mapped out in 1848. It got its name because it was located near the very center of Harlem Township.

The Post Office Days

A post office is a place where people send and receive mail. A post office was opened in Centre Village in 1851. This was an important service for the people living there. Later, in 1893, the name of the post office was changed to Center Village. However, the post office eventually closed its doors in 1907.
