Chance Eugene Duke Rencountre (born December 31, 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He competes in the welterweight division, which is a specific weight class in fighting. Chance has fought in big organizations like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator MMA. He started his professional fighting career in 2012.

About Chance
Chance Rencountre was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, a town that is part of the Osage Nation reservation. His mother worked very hard, sometimes at three jobs, to support him as he grew up. To honor his family and background, Chance often carries the flag of the Osage Nation when he enters the fighting ring. His sister, Alexis Rencountre, works as the elections supervisor for the Osage Nation. Chance is also the first person from the Osage tribe to compete in the UFC.
Chance's Fighting Journey
Starting in Bellator MMA
Chance Rencountre began his professional fighting career and quickly built up a strong record of 8 wins and only 1 loss. This success led him to sign with Bellator MMA, another major mixed martial arts organization. He had his first fight with Bellator at Bellator 151, where he lost a very close match. In his second fight for Bellator, he won against Jake Lindsey at Bellator 171.
Fighting in the UFC
Chance made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on June 1, 2018. He stepped in as a last-minute replacement to fight Belal Muhammad. Chance fought hard but lost this match by a unanimous decision.
Later, Chance was scheduled to fight Randy Brown, but his opponent changed a couple of times. Finally, he fought Kyle Stewart. Chance won this fight in the first round by using a submission move called a rear-naked choke.
On July 6, 2019, Chance faced Ismail Naurdiev at UFC 239. He won this fight by a unanimous decision from the judges. However, in his next fight at UFC 244 on November 2, 2019, he lost to Lyman Good.
In March 2020, Chance's contract with the UFC ended, and the organization decided not to renew it.
After the UFC and Return to Bellator
After leaving the UFC, Chance continued to fight. He had a rematch with Jake Lindsey at FAC 11 on December 10, 2021, and won again with a rear-naked choke.
Chance then returned to Bellator MMA on February 19, 2022. He fought Andrey Koreshkov as a late replacement. Chance lost this fight in the first round due to a powerful kick that caused a serious injury.
