Chang'an District facts for kids
Chang'an District is a district of Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It is in the south part of Xi'an. Yanta District and Xianyang Municipality are to the north. Shangluo Municipality and Ankang Municipality are to the north. Lantian County is to the east. Hu County is to the west. The southeast part of Chang'an District is higher than northwest part. From north to south is 55 kilometres (34 mi), from east to west is 52 kilometres (32 mi). The district covers 1,588.53 square kilometres (613.33 sq mi). As of November 2010, 1,083,285 people lived there.
On June 2, 2002. Chang'an County was renamed to Chang'an District.
