Chao is a town located in the northern part of Peru. It is the main town of the Chao District in the La Libertad Region. This town is about 65 kilometers (or about 40 miles) south of a bigger city called Trujillo. Chao is mostly known as a place where a lot of farming happens, especially in the Chao Valley.
