Charles went to St Bonaventure's school in London. After that, he studied drama at Havering College. He also attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). When he finished at LAMDA, he won a special award. It was called the Alan Bates Award. This award is for amazing actors who are just starting their careers.
