Charles Malik Whitfield (born August 1, 1972) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Otis Williams in the TV mini-series The Temptations in 1998. For this role, he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.
Whitfield has also starred in popular TV shows like The Guardian and If Loving You Is Wrong. You might also recognize him from his recurring roles in Supernatural, American Horror Story, Empire, and Chicago Med.

Charles Malik Whitfield was born in the Bronx, New York. He started his acting career in 1992.
Early Roles and Big Break
From 1993 to 1994, he played Ben Price on the ABC daytime soap opera, One Life to Live. He also appeared in movies like Fresh and Bleeding Hearts.
Whitfield became widely known for his role as Otis Williams in the 1998 mini-series The Temptations. This show told the story of the famous music group.
TV Series and Guest Appearances
From 2001 to 2003, Charles Malik Whitfield starred as James Mooney in the CBS legal drama series, The Guardian. He later made guest appearances on many other TV shows. These include CSI: Miami, Castle, Private Practice, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
He also had a recurring role as Agent Henriksen in The CW series Supernatural from 2007 to 2008. In 2012, Whitfield lent his voice to the video game Far Cry 3, playing the character Dennis.
