About the Books

The Rare Beasts book tells the story of twins named Edgar and Ellen. They live by themselves in an old, run-down house. This house is on the edge of a town called Nod's Limbs. Their parents disappeared many years ago.

The twins spend their days trying to avoid Heimertz, the groundskeeper who plays the accordion. They also like to bother Pet, their strange hairball friend. Most of all, they love to cause trouble for the super-sweet people of Nod's Limbs.

However, causing so much trouble costs money! So, the twins decide to earn some cash. They plan to grab pets from the town and turn them into rare, expensive animals. But, as often happens, their tricky plans don't quite work out the way they hoped.

Tourist Trap is another exciting book. In this story, Mayor Knightleigh wants to build a fancy new hotel. He plans to build it right where Edgar and Ellen's favorite Gadget Graveyard is located. The Gadget Graveyard is a special place for them.

To celebrate, the mayor invites famous people to Nod's Limbs for a French toast festival. The twins use their smart ideas to scare the tourists away. They hope this will save their beloved home from being turned into a hotel.
