The Story of Wilbur's Adventure
The movie begins in springtime, about a year after Charlotte's death. Charlotte's three daughters, Nellie, Aranea, and Joy, are now growing up. Wilbur acts like a big brother to them. During this time, Wilbur becomes good friends with a new lamb named Cardigan. Cardigan has black wool, which makes him different from the other lambs. Because of his black wool, the other young sheep don't want to play with him.
Wilbur takes Cardigan under his wing. He teaches him about life on the farm. He also shows him what dangers to watch out for. After only a few weeks, farmer Zuckerman sells Cardigan to another farmer. Wilbur, along with Charlotte's daughters and Templeton the Rat, decide to go find Cardigan. They want to make sure he is safe and happy.
On their journey, Wilbur gets hungry and eats some grapes. This makes his fur look purple. Then, some tree bark falls on his head, making him look like a wild pig. A car almost hits him, and two people see the "wild pig." This makes it harder for Wilbur to travel and visit Cardigan.
Meanwhile, a sneaky fox named Farley tries to steal a hen from the barn. Later, Farley comes back and takes Cardigan from the barn. He plans to eat the lamb. Wilbur knows he must save his friend. He cleverly traps the fox using a "pig web." Charlotte's daughters help by spinning the word "FOX" in a spider web. Fern, a kind girl, arrives just in time to help Wilbur. The fox is dealt with, though we don't see what happens to him. Aranea and Joy decide to stay with Cardigan. The movie ends with Wilbur having to babysit Templeton's kids. He had promised to do this earlier when Templeton helped him out of some thorny bushes.
