Charlotte Cameron (born Wales-Almy, 1869/1872 or 1873 – 9 December 1946) was an American traveler and author. She explored many parts of the world and wrote exciting books about her adventures.

Charlotte Cameron was born in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, USA. Her mother, Frances Sisson Faulkner, was a suffragette. This means her mother worked hard to get women the right to vote. Her father, Jacob Wales-Almy, was a captain in the Royal Navy.
Charlotte loved to travel! She journeyed to many different countries and shared her experiences in books. In 1893, she visited Scotland. Later, in 1904, she traveled with a rich Englishwoman. She even visited Australia in 1921.
Because of her amazing travels and writings, Charlotte was recognized for her work. In 1913, she became a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. This is a special group for people who explore and study geography. After the First World War, she also received the Order of the British Empire. This is an honor given by the British King or Queen for important work.
Charlotte Cameron passed away on 9 December 1946 in London, England.
