In 2011, Charonda competed in the 2011 Diamond League series. She finished second in a race in Doha, Qatar. She also ran her fastest 400-meter dash in 52.71 seconds. In 2012, she had several strong performances in Europe. She won races at the FBK Games and the London Grand Prix. She also earned podium finishes at the Bislett Games and Meeting Areva.
