Chevrolet Cavalier facts for kids
The Chevrolet Cavalier was a popular compact car made by General Motors for many years. It was produced from 1982 until 2005. Over time, the car's design changed quite a bit. The Cavalier also had a "twin" car, the Pontiac Sunbird, which was later replaced by the Pontiac Sunfire in 1995.
About the Chevrolet Cavalier
The Chevrolet Cavalier was known for being a reliable and affordable car. It came in many different styles, including sedans, coupes, and even a station wagon. The station wagon version was sold until 1994.
Over its production run, the Cavalier went through several updates. Car safety standards also changed a lot during these years. The models made from 1995 to 2005 were tested by the IIHS. These tests helped car makers improve safety features in future cars.
In 2005, the Chevrolet Cavalier was replaced by newer models. In the United States, it was replaced by the Chevrolet Cobalt. In Canada and Mexico, it was replaced by the Chevrolet Optra.
