Cheyenne Nicole Woods is an American professional golfer. She was born on July 25, 1990. Cheyenne is known for her skills on the golf course. She is also the niece of famous golfer Tiger Woods.

About Cheyenne Woods
Cheyenne Woods was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Her parents are Susan Woods and Earl Dennison Woods Jr. This makes her the half-niece of golf legend Tiger Woods. Her grandfather, Earl Woods, who was Tiger's father, was Cheyenne's very first golf coach. He was a big inspiration for her.
Cheyenne has shared that her mother is white. Her father is black, with some Native American and Asian heritage.
Cheyenne's Golf Journey
Playing as an Amateur
Cheyenne Woods played golf for her high school team at Xavier College Preparatory. She won the Arizona 5A State Championships two years in a row, in 2006 and 2007. After high school, she went to Wake Forest University. She played golf for the Demon Deacons team there. During her time as an amateur, she won more than 30 tournaments.
In 2009, she got a special invitation to play in an LPGA Tour tournament called the Wegmans LPGA. She did not make it to the final rounds, missing the cut by a small number of strokes. In April 2011, she won the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) championship.
Turning Professional
Cheyenne Woods became a professional golfer in 2012, right after she finished college. She played in her first professional tournament, the 2012 LPGA Championship. She also qualified for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open. Her first professional win happened in August 2012 on the SunCoast Ladies Series.
In 2013, Cheyenne joined the Ladies European Tour. She continued to improve her game. In 2014, she achieved her second professional win. This was her first big win on a major tour, at the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters.
In December 2014, Cheyenne earned her LPGA Tour card for the 2015 season. This meant she could play in most of the LPGA tournaments. She played in eight events that year. She then earned her LPGA tour card again for the 2016 season. Her most recent LPGA appearance was in September 2021.
Life Outside Golf
On October 27, 2021, Cheyenne Woods got engaged to Aaron Hicks. He is a professional baseball player. They got married in February 2022. Their son was born in April 2022. The family lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Cheyenne Woods is one of only a few African American women to play on the LPGA Tour. She has spoken about wanting golf to be more open and welcoming to everyone.
