Map of Fukuoka Prefecture showing Chikuzen
Chikuzen (筑前町, Chikuzen-machi) is a small town located in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan. It is found on the island of Kyushu, which is one of Japan's main islands. Chikuzen is a place where people live and work, just like towns in other parts of the world.
History of Chikuzen
The town of Chikuzen is quite new! It was officially created in 2005. This happened when two smaller towns, Miwa and Yasu, decided to join together. Both of these towns were part of an area called Asakura District. By merging, they formed the single, larger town of Chikuzen. This kind of merger often happens to make local government more efficient and to help communities grow.
