Chondra Echert is an American writer and musician. She is well-known for co-writing comic book series like Key of Z, Kill Audio, and Translucid. She also works on stories for the band Coheed and Cambria.

Early Life and Education
Chondra Marie Echert was born in Clearwater, Florida, on April 22, 1983. She went to Eckerd College and earned a degree in Psychology.
Her Career as a Writer
After college, Chondra Echert moved to New York. She first worked as a writer for advertising. Soon after, she started a career in comic books.
Starting with Comics: Kill Audio
Her first comic story was Kill Audio. She created and co-wrote it with her husband, Claudio Sanchez. Part of Kill Audio was first shown in a comic book collection called Popgun 2.
Kill Audio is a dark comedy. It follows a troll who wants to understand why he can't die. The story was later released as a mini-series.
Zombie Stories: Key of Z
In 2011, Echert began working on Key of Z. This was a modern zombie story set in New York City. It was her second project with Claudio Sanchez.
Key of Z was a four-part series. It came out in October 2011. Many people liked the comic, calling it a "refreshing new addition" to zombie stories.
Other Comic and Story Projects
Chondra Echert is now a Creative Co-Director at Evil Ink Comics. This is an independent comic publishing company. She also co-writes The Amory Wars, a popular science fiction comic series.
She has also written novellas (short novels). These include Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures and Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind. These stories were released with albums from the band Coheed and Cambria.
Podcasting
Since July 2022, Echert has co-hosted a weekly podcast called "Band Wives." She hosts it with author Misha Lazzara.
Music and Media Appearances
Chondra Echert has appeared in several music videos for the band Coheed and Cambria. She was the main love interest in "A Favor House Atlantic". She also played the main villain, Candelaria, in the "A Disappearing Act" video.
She has also provided backing vocals for some of Coheed and Cambria's songs. These include "Gravemakers and Gunslingers" and "Mothers of Men." She also voiced the character All Mother on the album The Afterman: Ascension.
Echert co-wrote and performed a song called "Erizo Schultz." This song was part of Claudio Sanchez's side project, The Prize Fighter Inferno.
Personal Life
Chondra Echert married Claudio Sanchez in October 2009. Claudio Sanchez is the lead singer of the progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria. Their first child, Atlas Hendrix Sanchez, was born on June 8, 2014.
