History of Chrisney
Chrisney started out with a different name. It was first called Spring Station. The town was founded around 1871. This was when a railroad line was built through the area.
A post office opened in Spring Station in 1874. Later, in 1883, the post office changed its name. It became known as Chrisney.
Chrisney also had its own high school. Chrisney High School was open from 1908 to 1972. In 1972, it joined with Dale High School. Together, they formed Heritage Hills High School.

Before 1972, Chrisney had its own high school. The school's mascot was the Wildcats. Their school colors were black and orange. In 1972, this high school merged. It became part of Heritage Hills High School.
Chrisney also has a public library. It is a branch of the Lincoln Heritage Public Library.
