Most of these buildings were built between 1915 and 1950. They are one, two, or three stories tall. Many were used as shops or offices.

The Courthouse Square: A Central Hub

Historic Memorials

The district also includes two important objects. These are memorials that honor people.

  • The Confederate Memorial, placed in 1883.
  • The War Memorial, placed in 1953.
