About Christina Reid
Christina was born in North Belfast. She left school in 1957 and got married in 1963. Later, in 1981, she started studying at Queen's University Belfast. However, she became a single parent and also won a big playwriting competition from the BBC. Because of these exciting changes, she didn't finish her university course.
Christina worked as a 'writer-in-residence' at famous theatres like the Lyric Theatre and the Young Vic. This means she was a special writer who worked closely with the theatre. She also wrote scripts for a drama show called Citizens on BBC Radio 4.
Christina was a supporter of YouthAction Northern Ireland. This charity helps young people feel inspired and achieve their goals. One of its cool projects is the Rainbow Factory, where over 450 young people take part in different classes, workshops, and performances.

Christina was a mother to three daughters. Their names were Heidi, Tara, and Siubhan.
