Early Life and Awards
Christine started playing soccer when she was just 6 years old with Pickering SC. Later, she played for Ajax SC. When she was 11, in 2004, she received the Bob Marley Award. This award honors Jamaican-Canadians who have done great things for the city of Toronto.
College Soccer Journey
In 2010, Christine began attending the University of Louisville. She played for the women's soccer team there on a special soccer scholarship.
First Year Success (2010)
In her first year, 2010, she was named the Big East Rookie of the Year. This was because she scored seven goals, which was the most on her team!
Continued Achievements (2011-2012)
In 2011, Christine earned more big awards. She was named an NSCAA Third Team All-American and the Big East Conference Offensive Player of the Year. She also made the First Team All-Big East. Her amazing play helped her team win their first-ever Big East National Division title. In 2012, she was again recognized, making the Third Team All-Big East. She was even nominated for the Hermann Trophy, which is a very important award for college soccer players.
Professional Club Career
Christine has played for a few different soccer clubs during her career.
Early Club Experience (2010-2011)
In 2010 and 2011, she played for the Toronto Lady Lynx in the USL W-League. Her skills were noticed, and she was named to the 2011 W-League All-Star team.
Playing for Darby FC (2022-Present)
In 2022, Christine joined Darby FC in League1 Ontario. She quickly became an important player and was named a league Third Team All-Star that year. She continues to play for Darby FC.
International Soccer Career
Christine has a unique background that allowed her to play for different national teams.
Representing Canada (Youth Teams)
Christine was born in Canada. In 2008, she was invited to a training camp for the Canada U17 team. She later won a silver medal with the Canada U20 team at the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship. She also played in the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. During this World Cup, on August 27, she scored her first international goal against North Korea U20.
Playing for Jamaica (Senior Team)
Christine's mother was born in Jamaica, which meant Christine could also play for the Jamaica women's national football team. In 2015, she decided to switch and represent Jamaica. She quickly became a leader, being named team captain before her third game with the team.
