Christine Pascal (born 29 November 1953 – died 30 August 1996) was a talented French actress, writer, and film director. She was known for her strong performances and for also creating her own movies.

Her Early Life and Acting Career
Christine Pascal was born in Lyon, a city in France. She started her acting career when she was 21 years old. Her first movie was Les Guichets du Louvre in 1974.
Soon after, she began working with a famous French director named Bertrand Tavernier. Their first film together was L'Horloger de Saint-Paul (1974). She worked with him on many other movies, including Que la fête commence (1975). For this role, she was even nominated for a César Award for Best Supporting Actress, which is a very important award in French cinema.
Christine Pascal also appeared in other well-known films. These include La Meilleure façon de marcher (1976), The Maids of Wilko (1979), and Entre Nous (1983). She played many different kinds of characters during her career.
Christine Pascal as a Director
Besides acting, Christine Pascal also loved to tell stories through directing. She made her first movie as a director called Félicité in 1979. This was a big step for her, showing her skills behind the camera.
She went on to direct several other films. These included La Garce, Zanzibar, and Le Petit prince a dit. Her film Le Petit prince a dit was very successful. It won the Louis Delluc Prize, which is a major film award in France. It was also nominated for César Awards for Best Film and Best Director. Her last film as a director was Adultère, mode d'emploi in 1995.
Christine Pascal passed away in 1996 and is buried in the famous Cimetière du Père Lachaise in Paris.
