Christof Innerhofer was born in Bruneck, Italy. He lives in a town called Gais in South Tyrol. He started competing in the World Cup when he was 21 years old, in November 2006.

Christof won his very first World Cup race in December 2008. This was a downhill race held in Bormio, Italy. It was a big moment in his career.
World Championship Success
At the 2011 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Christof had an amazing performance. He won three medals! He earned a gold medal in the Super-G event. He also took home a silver medal in the super combined race. To top it off, he won a bronze medal in the downhill event.
