Christopher Kanu started his football career in Nigeria. He played for a youth team called Eagle Cement. This was between 1994 and 1995.
Playing for Clubs
After his time at Eagle Cement, Chris Kanu moved to Europe. He joined the famous Dutch club Ajax in 1995. He played for their youth team for a year.
In 1996, he officially joined the senior team at Ajax. During his time there, he also went on loan to other clubs. A loan means he played for another team for a short period.
Early Club Career
He played for Lugano in Switzerland from 1996 to 1997. He played 19 games for them. Later, in 2001, he had a short loan spell at Alavés in Spain. He played 5 games there.
In 2002, he was loaned to Sparta Rotterdam in the Netherlands. After leaving Ajax, he joined Top Oss for a year.
Playing in England
