Dionte Hunter, known by his stage name Chuuwee, is an American hip hop artist. He was born on September 7, 1990, in Sacramento, California. Chuuwee moved around a lot when he was a child. He lived in many different neighborhoods in Sacramento. Later, he moved to San Antonio during his middle school years.

Becoming a Songwriting Pro
By the time he was 21, Chuuwee felt he was a master at writing songs. He learned to create music in many different rap and hip hop styles. He even mixes in parts of Punk Rock and R&B into his sound today.
Getting Noticed
Chuuwee has become well-known in the underground music scene. His music is often shared on popular hip hop websites. These include 2DopeBoyz, HipHopDX, and Complex Magazine. Chuuwee's Career Journey
In 2010, Chuuwee met a music manager named Anyextee. Anyextee was also the CEO of a hip hop label called Amalgam Digital. After hearing Chuuwee's song "Post Mortem," Anyextee quickly signed him. He helped Chuuwee promote his independent music project, "Watching The Throne."
Signing with a Record Label
In 2011, Anyextee officially signed Chuuwee to the Amalgam Digital record label. This meant Chuuwee joined a group of artists that included Joe Budden and Curren$y.
Working with Other Artists
Chuuwee has worked with many talented people. Some of these include Cookin' Soul, Lee Bannon, and Large Professor. He is currently signed with Below System Records. This label helps distribute his music digitally. He has released two albums through them. Chuuwee plans to release a new five-part album called "Dystopia" in 2020.
A First in Music Videos
In 2016, Chuuwee did something very cool. He worked with a company called 8i Reality. Together, they made the first music video ever shot in Volumetric Virtual Reality. This means you could experience the video in a 3D virtual space!
