Discovering the Cincinnati Nature Center

Rowe Woods: A Place to Explore
The main part of the Cincinnati Nature Center is called Rowe Woods. It covers 1,025 acres in Milford, Ohio. Here, you'll find the Rowe Visitor Center.
What's at Rowe Woods?
The Visitor Center has cool nature exhibits to check out. You can also watch wildlife through a special viewing window. There's even a library and a gift shop.
Rowe Woods has more than 16 miles of trails. These trails take you through different types of natural areas. You'll see:
- Eastern forests with lots of trees
- Old farm fields
- Flowing streams
- Peaceful pond habitats
Schott Nature PlayScape: Play in Nature
One fun spot at Rowe Woods is the Schott Nature PlayScape. This 1.6-acre area is designed for creative play. It uses natural things like water, logs, rocks, and dirt. Kids can build, explore, and imagine here.
The idea for the PlayScape came from a book called Last Child in the Woods. This book says that spending time in nature is super important for kids to grow up healthy.
Groesbeck Lodge: A Center for Conservation
The historic Groesbeck Lodge was built in 1918. It's becoming the new Center for Conservation & Stewardship. This center will be a leading place for learning about land conservation. It will help protect natural areas in the region.
Long Branch Farm: Members Only Adventures
The second location of the Cincinnati Nature Center is Long Branch Farm and Trails. It's located in Goshen, Ohio, and covers 642 acres.
Exploring Long Branch Farm
Long Branch Farm is open only to members of the Nature Center. It has four miles of trails. These trails lead you through:
- Deciduous forests
- Open fields
- Streams
- Ponds
It's another great place to enjoy nature and see local wildlife.
