Goshen (pronounced GOH-shun) is a small community, also known as a census-designated place, located in Clermont County, Ohio, in the United States. In 2020, about 715 people lived there. It's found right in the middle of Goshen Township and is a key spot along State Route 28, which also crosses with State Route 132 and State Route 48. You can find Goshen about halfway between the towns of Milford and Blanchester.

A Look Back in Time

Goshen was started way back in 1799. It was founded by settlers from Germany and England, including a person named Jacob Myers. Many of these early settlers had traveled down the Ohio River from western Pennsylvania. They had also fought for the American Colonies during the American Revolutionary War.

The 2022 Tornado

On July 6, 2022, a strong tornado hit the center of Goshen. This tornado was rated as an EF2, which means it had winds between 111 and 135 miles per hour. It caused damage to many buildings, including the Fire Department station. Because of the damage, officials declared a state of emergency to help the community recover. Experts estimated that the tornado caused about $3 million in damage.

Goshen has a public library, which is a part of the Clermont County Public Library system. It's a great place for everyone to find books and learn new things.

The Goshen Local School District serves the students in the area. It has four schools:
