Places to See in Ciudad Madero

Miramar Beach and Lighthouse

Ciudad Madero is famous for its beautiful beach called "Playa Miramar." This beach has grown a lot in recent years. You can find many new hotels and restaurants there. It's a great spot for tourists to visit.

Near the beach, there used to be a lighthouse. It was called "Faro de Ciudad Madero." This lighthouse helped guide ships safely into the channel of the Río Pánuco. Today, a red beacon light on a small tower does this job. In 2006, city planners wanted to build a new lighthouse. They believed it would be important for the city's culture and tourism.

Santa Cruz Church
