Clara Irma Serra Sánchez, born in 1982, is a Spanish politician and writer who focuses on women's rights. She was a representative in the Assembly of Madrid from 2015 to 2019.
About Clara Serra
Clara Serra was born in Madrid on September 13, 1982. She studied Philosophy at the Complutense University of Madrid. Before becoming a politician, she taught philosophy in high school for six years. She joined politics when the party Podemos was formed.
In 2015, Clara Serra ran in the election for the Madrid region. She won a seat and became a member of the Assembly of Madrid. Her younger sister, Isabel, also became a member of the Assembly at the same time. Later, Clara Serra was chosen by her political group to be their spokesperson in the Assembly.
In May 2019, Clara Serra ran for re-election with the Más Madrid party. She won her seat again in the regional parliament. However, in October 2019, she decided to leave her position. This was because she disagreed with some decisions made by the new political platform she was part of.
