Her Path to Architecture

Clara's father was a civil engineer. He was very good at math and calculations. Because of him, Clara first thought about studying mathematics. However, her interest changed to architecture.   • Colegio Alemán Alexander Von Humboldt-Plantel Norte: This is a school building. It was built in Lomas Verdes from 1988 to 1990.
  • IBM Building: She designed this office building for IBM. It is located in Santa Fe, Mexico City. This project was finished between 1995 and 1997.
  • Mexico City Metro Stations: Clara de Buen helped design several Metro stations. She worked on stations for Line A (1986–1991) and Line B (1994–1997).
  • Library of the Faculty of Medicine: This library is at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. It was built from 2005 to 2006.
  • Museo Maya: This is a museum about the Maya culture. It is located in Chetumal.
  • City Theater: She also designed the City Theater in Chetumal.
