Claudia Lösch (born October 19, 1988) is a celebrated Austrian athlete who became a champion in alpine skiing. She is a Paralympian, which means she competes in the Paralympic Games, a major international sports event for athletes with disabilities.
Claudia competes as a monoskier. This means she skis while sitting on a special seat that has a single ski underneath it. She has won many medals, including two gold medals at the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver, Canada.

Early Life and Education
Claudia Lösch was born in Vienna, Austria. In 1994, when she was a young girl, an accident caused her to become paraplegic, which means she is unable to use her legs. She grew up in a town called Neupölla.
Despite this challenge, Claudia focused on her education and her love for sports. She graduated from a school in Horn in 2007. After that, she went on to study political science at a university in Innsbruck.
