Claudia Jane Mills (born August 21, 1954, in New York City) is a well-known American author. She writes many popular children's books that kids love to read. Besides being an author, she is also a professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder. This means she teaches about big ideas and how we think.

Claudia Jane Mills was born in New York City on August 21, 1954. Her parents were Charles Howard and Helen Mills. On October 19, 1985, she married Richard W. Wahl. They have two children, Christopher Richard Wahl and Gregory Charles Wahl.
Her Education Journey
Claudia Mills went to several universities to study. She earned her first degree, a Bachelor of Arts, from Wellesley College in 1976. Later, she received a Master of Arts from Princeton University in 1979.
She also earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland in 1988. This degree helps people organize and manage libraries. Finally, she returned to Princeton University and earned her highest degree, a Doctor of Philosophy, in 1991.
