Clavus obliquatus is a type of sea snail. It is a marine gastropod mollusk. This means it is a snail that lives in the ocean. It belongs to the family called Drilliidae.
What Does It Look Like?
The shell of the Clavus obliquatus can grow up to 33 millimeters long. That's about 1.3 inches.
The shell is usually yellowish-brown. It has a lighter, thin band around its middle. Sometimes, you might see a row of white dots on the raised parts, called ribs, of the shell. These dots are usually a bit below the middle of the main part of the shell, known as the body whorl. The bottom part of the shell has a few swirling lines.
Where Does It Live?
This sea snail lives in the ocean. It is found mainly in Australia, especially off the coast of Queensland. It has also been seen near the Philippines.
