Clay Priest (born 5 February 1989) is an Australian rugby league player. He used to play for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL). Clay plays in positions called a lock and a prop. Before joining the Bulldogs, he played for the Canberra Raiders.

Clay Priest was born on 5 February 1989, in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. When he was younger, he played junior rugby league for a team called Brothers Penrith. Later, he was signed by the Mount Pritchard Mounties.
Playing Career Highlights
Starting Out in Rugby League
In 2014, Clay Priest joined the Mount Pritchard Mounties. This team played in the New South Wales Cup, which is a league just below the main NRL competition. During this time, he also trained with the Canberra Raiders, an NRL team.
Making His NRL Debut in 2016
Clay Priest played very well for the Mounties. Because of his strong performance, the Canberra Raiders offered him a contract. In 2016, he made his first appearance in the National Rugby League (NRL). This big moment happened in round 8 of the 2016 NRL season when the Raiders played against the Wests Tigers.
On 18 August 2016, Clay signed a new contract with the Raiders. This deal kept him with the team until the end of the 2018 season. In his first year in the NRL, he played in 14 matches.
Moving to the Bulldogs in 2017
During the 2017 NRL season, Clay Priest played in 17 matches for the Canberra Raiders. In November 2017, he made a big move. He signed a contract to play for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for the 2018 season. This move was part of a player swap, where a Bulldogs player named Brad Abbey joined the Raiders.
Leaving the Bulldogs in 2018
On 27 August 2018, the Canterbury Bulldogs announced that Clay Priest would be leaving the club. His contract was not renewed, meaning he would not play for them after that season.
