Clay Priest (born 5 February 1989) is an Australian rugby league player. He plays as a lock or a prop. He played for the Canberra Raiders and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL). He currently plays for the Mudgee Dragons.

Clay Priest was born in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. When he was younger, he played rugby league for a team called Brothers Penrith. Later, he joined the Mount Pritchard Mounties.
Playing Career
Starting Out
In 2014, Clay Priest joined the Mount Pritchard Mounties. This team played in the New South Wales Cup, which is a league below the main NRL competition. During this time, he also trained with the NRL team, the Canberra Raiders.
Playing in the NRL
Clay Priest played very well for the Mounties. Because of his good performance, the Canberra Raiders offered him a contract.
2016 Season
In 2016, Clay Priest made his first appearance in the NRL. This was his "debut" game, meaning his very first game in the top league. He played for the Raiders against the Wests Tigers in round 8 of the 2016 NRL season. He signed a new contract with the Raiders that year, which kept him with the team until the end of 2018. In his first season, he played 14 NRL games.
2017 Season
Clay Priest continued to play for the Raiders in the 2017 NRL season. He played 17 NRL games that year. In November 2017, he signed a contract to join the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for the 2018 season. This was part of a "swap deal," where another player, Brad Abbey, moved from the Bulldogs to the Raiders.
2018 Season
In 2018, Clay Priest played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Towards the end of the season, the club announced that he would be leaving. His contract with the Bulldogs was not extended.
