Clemente "Sungo" Carreras González was a talented baseball player and manager from Cuba. He was born in Havana, Cuba, on March 25, 1914. Sungo Carreras played as an Infielder in the Negro leagues from 1937 to 1941. After his playing days, he became a successful manager in the Mexican League, which is the highest level of professional baseball in Mexico. He passed away on November 19, 1989.
