Clint Boulton was an English professional footballer. He was born on January 6, 1948, and passed away on January 1, 2021. Clint played as a defender and sometimes as a midfielder.
He had a long career in the Football League. Over 14 years, he played in 506 league games. He started his journey with Port Vale in 1965. With Port Vale, he played 267 games and helped them get promoted in 1970.
Later, he joined Torquay United in 1971. He spent eight years with Torquay, playing 286 games. After his time in the Football League, he also played for a non-league team called Minehead.

Starting Out at Port Vale
Clint Boulton was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England. He began his football career as a young player at Port Vale in 1963. He chose Port Vale because he thought he would have a better chance to play in the main team there.
He made his first game appearance on December 26, 1964. He was only 16 years old, making him the youngest player in the club's history. He even scored a goal in his first season. This made him the youngest goalscorer for Port Vale ever!
Clint became a professional player in August 1965. He quickly became a key player in the team's defense. He played many games each season, showing how important he was.
In the 1969–70 season, Clint played in every single game. He helped Port Vale get promoted from the Fourth Division. This was a big achievement for the team. He played a total of 267 games for Port Vale, scoring 12 goals.
Time with Torquay United
In November 1971, Clint moved to Torquay United. He joined them for £10,000. He quickly became a regular player for Torquay.
He played a lot of games and became a strong part of their defense. In August 1976, he even played as a forward in one game. He scored three goals in that match, which was amazing for a defender!
Clint was named Torquay United's Player of the Season in 1976–77. He continued to play regularly until 1978. His last game for Torquay was in 1979.
He played 286 games for Torquay United, scoring 36 goals. After leaving Torquay, he played for Minehead.
Life After Football
After he stopped playing football, Clint Boulton started his own business. His company in Devon makes blinds and awnings.
Sadly, Clint passed away on January 1, 2021. He was playing golf when he died.
