Clint Edward Lowery was born on December 15, 1971. He is an American musician, songwriter, and producer. He is most famous as the guitarist and backing singer for the rock band Sevendust.
Clint has also played in other bands like Dark New Day and Still Rain. He was a touring guitarist for Korn in 2007 and Seether in 2017. In 2008, he started a solo music project called Hello Demons Meet Skeletons. He recorded a six-song EP called Chills by himself. His brother, Corey Lowery, produced it. Clint later released two more EPs under this name. His last EP for this project, Choices, came out in 2013.
In 2012, Clint formed a band called Call Me No One. He was the lead singer and guitarist. He started this band with Morgan Rose, who is also in Sevendust. Their first album, Last Parade, was released in June 2012. In 2013, Clint also showed off his own special guitar model for Paul Reed Smith, called the PRS SE Clint Lowery.

Clint Lowery's Music Journey
Early Bands
In 1989, Clint Lowery helped start a band called Still Rain. He played with Donnie Hamby, Troy McLawhorn, Corey Lowery, and Bevan Davies. The band played many shows each year, mixing cover songs with their own music. This helped them gain a large group of fans.
After a few years, they decided to play only their own songs. They released their first album, Still Rain. A second album, Bitter Black Water, followed soon after.
Sevendust
After Still Rain, Clint Lowery joined the American heavy metal band Sevendust. Their music style was very different from his previous band. Their first album, Sevendust, came out on April 15, 1997. In 1998, they released a live album called Live and Loud.
In 1999, Sevendust released their second album, Home. This album had four singles that did well on the music charts. The band played at Woodstock '99. They also toured in Europe with Skunk Anansie. They opened for Metallica on New Year's Eve in 1999. In 2000, they joined other bands like Slipknot on the Tattoo the Earth Tour.
In 2001, Sevendust released Animosity. Their fourth album, Seasons, came out in 2003. This album was very popular. It included their highest-charting song, "Enemy". In 2004, Sevendust released a live CD and DVD called Southside Double-Wide: Acoustic Live.
Clint left Sevendust in 2004 to join Dark New Day. However, he came back to Sevendust in 2008. He helped record their eighth album, Cold Day Memory, released in 2010. Clint wanted to make sure the band's music was still great. Sevendust's most recent album, Truth Killer, was released in 2023.
Dark New Day
On December 11, 2004, Clint Lowery left Sevendust during a tour. He wanted to play with his brother Corey Lowery in their new band, Dark New Day. The band signed with Warner Bros. Records. Their first album, Twelve Year Silence, was released on June 14, 2005. The song "Brother" became a hit.
In 2006, Dark New Day released an EP called Black Porch (Acoustic Sessions). It had new songs and acoustic versions of older ones. Clint later said that their second album might not be released. However, in 2012, the band rerecorded some songs and released New Tradition. Clint has said that Dark New Day is likely on a break for good.
Korn
In 2007, Clint Lowery toured with Korn as their live guitarist for eight months. He joined them on stage for the first time on March 1, 2007. He left Korn in October 2007. In March 2008, he announced he had rejoined Sevendust.
Solo Music
In September 2008, Clint Lowery recorded a six-song EP. He played all the instruments himself. His brother, Corey Lowery, produced it. This project was called "Hello Demons Meet Skeletons". Clint used this project to express his feelings and experiences. The EP, Chills, was released on October 12, 2008.
In May 2010, he released a solo song called "The Drive". He also released "Kicking Tree" and an older song called "Bitter". His EP Words That Sing Well was released on April 19, 2011. Another EP, Uncomfortable Silence, came out on August 22, 2011. He said this would be the last for Hello Demons Meet Skeletons for a while.
On June 30, 2013, Clint announced he was recording six acoustic songs. This became the EP Choices, released on October 22, 2013. He later decided to bring the project back.
Clint released his first full solo album, God Bless the Renegades, on January 31, 2020. An EP called Grief & Distance was released on June 12, 2020. His Ghostwriter EP came out on February 1, 2023.
Call Me No One
In 2012, Clint Lowery and Morgan Rose started a new band called Call Me No One. They recorded their first album in January. The song "Biggest Fan" came out in April. Their album, Last Parade, was released in June 2012. The band toured that summer. Clint later said that Call Me No One was a one-time project and there would be no more music from them.
Seether
In February 2017, Clint Lowery joined Seether as a touring guitarist. He helped with their album Poison the Parish. After the tour in 2017, Clint returned to Sevendust. His brother, Corey Lowery, then became Seether's lead guitarist.
Other Music Projects
Angel's Son
"Angel's Son" is a song written by Lajon Witherspoon and Clint Lowery. It was performed by Lajon, Clint, Morgan Rose, and Sonny Mayo. They created it for a special album called Strait Up. This album honored James Lynn Strait, a musician who had passed away. A studio version of the song was later included on Sevendust's 2001 album, Animosity.
A Song for Chi
Clint Lowery was part of an all-star group that recorded a song to help Chi Cheng. Chi Cheng was the bassist for the band Deftones. He was in a coma after a car accident in 2008 and passed away in 2013. Other musicians involved included Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and Ray Luzier from Korn, and Jim Root from Slipknot.
Yahweh
In 2014, Clint Lowery met Michael Sweet, the singer and guitarist for the band Stryper. Michael asked Clint to help write a song for Stryper's new album. Clint sent him some guitar ideas. One of these ideas became the song "Yahweh". Michael Sweet said it was one of the most powerful songs Stryper had made. Clint mentioned that Stryper was an influence on him when he was younger.
Guitar Lessons
Clint Lowery has offered online guitar lessons. These lessons cover topics like scales, improvisation, songwriting, and soloing. In January 2015, he released a teaching DVD as part of the "The Sound And The Story" series by Fret12.
Producing Music
In 2012 and 2013, Clint Lowery produced music for several bands. These included Dead Fish Handshake, Novus Dae, Statik Silence, Annandale, The Farthest Edge, and Digital Collapse. He also helped write four songs for the band Half Past My Sin. Clint also helped record the album for the band 3 Years Hollow.
About Clint's Life
Clint Lowery has two brothers, Corey Lowery and Dustin Lowery. Both of his brothers have also played in bands. All three brothers went to Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Clint married Tara Jenkins in September 2010. They have a son named Harper, born in December 2010. Their daughter, Evie, was born in March 2013. Clint's father, Willie Lowery, was also a musician. He was also a supporter of the Lumbee tribe. Willie Lowery passed away in 2012.
Clint shared that his first guitar was an Aria Pro II. He was twelve years old when he bought it. He also mentioned that he first learned to play the drums before he started playing acoustic guitar.

PRS SE Clint Lowery Guitar
In September 2012, PRS announced a new guitar designed for Clint Lowery. It is called the PRS SE Clint Lowery guitar. This guitar is made for heavy metal and hard rock music. It has a special body design and a neck with 24 frets. It also has special pickups and controls for sound. The guitar is tuned to a low C♯/drop "B" sound.
