Clinton Jackson, born on May 20, 1954, is an American former professional boxer. He was a very successful amateur boxer, even competing in the 1976 Summer Olympics. He also won a silver medal at the 1974 World Championships and a gold medal at the 1975 Pan American Games.

Clinton Jackson grew up in Evergreen, Alabama. He was a talented athlete from a young age. He played both football and basketball in high school. He discovered boxing in 1970 when he visited a gym in Pensacola, Florida.

As an amateur boxer, Clinton Jackson achieved great success. He won a silver medal at the 1974 World Championships. The next year, he won a gold medal at the 1975 Pan American Games. He also represented the United States at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

He became a professional boxer in 1979. His professional career was not as successful as his amateur days. He retired from boxing after a win in October 1985. Clinton Jackson also coached a boxing team for the Nashville Sheriff's Department.
