The Story of Clintonville School
A very important part of Clintonville's history is its school. The Clintonville School first opened its doors in September 1925. When it started, students could attend from the first grade all the way up to the eighth grade. It also offered one year of high school education.
The original school building had four classrooms on the first floor. Upstairs, there were two more classrooms. It also had a small auditorium with a stage, which was great for school plays and events.
Over the years, the school grew and improved. In 1936, some big changes were made. The school got indoor plumbing, which was a modern update. A gymnasium was added, giving students a place to play sports indoors. They also built the school's first cafeteria, so students could eat lunch at school.
Even more additions came in 1957. Three new classrooms were built to make space for more students. A new kitchen and more bathroom facilities were added. The principal also got a dedicated office space. These changes helped the school serve the community better for many years.
