Clippard Park officially reopened on September 18, 2010, after a big makeover. Before the changes, the park had old play equipment and only a few basic facilities. Local residents helped decide what new things the park should have.

  • A basketball court for playing hoops.

Skate Park Fun

One of the most exciting new features is the Skatepark. A grant of $5,000 from the Tony Hawk Foundation helped fund its creation. The famous professional skater and designer, Tony Hawk, even reviewed and approved the skate park's design!

The skate park, in particular, has received great reviews. A professional skate team called Instrument Skate Board said it's the best skate park in the region for both vertical (ramps) and street (obstacles like ledges) skating.
