Cody Lightning was born on August 8, 1986. He is a talented actor and filmmaker from the Cree Nation in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His mother, Georgina Lightning, is also a film director and actress. Cody has two siblings, Crystle Lightning and William Lightning, who are also actors.
Cody started acting at a young age. In 1999, he was nominated for a Young Artist Award for his role in the movie Smoke Signals (1998). He won the Best Actor award at the American Indian Film Festival in 2007 for his work in Four Sheets to the Wind.
In 2023, Cody took on a new challenge. He wrote, directed, and starred in his first film, Hey, Viktor!. This movie is a mockumentary, which means it's a fake documentary that looks real. In the film, Cody plays a funny version of himself trying to bring back his acting career. He tries to do this by making his own sequel to Smoke Signals.
