Early Beginnings
The area that became Coldwater was first developed in the early 1840s. A person named Byrd Ezell played a key role in setting up the original site of this community.
Post Office and Communication
A post office was officially opened in Coldwater on December 9, 1856. This was an important place for people to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years. It remained active until 1907, when it eventually closed down.
