Mr. Campbell became a very important person in the banking world. From 1938 to 1946, he was the President of the British Bankers' Association. This group represents many banks in Britain.

He also worked as a director for big companies. These included the National Provincial Bank and London Assurance. Being a director means he helped make important decisions for these businesses.

Becoming a Baron

On 28 January 1946, Colin Frederick Campbell received a special honor. He was given a title by the King. This is called being "raised to the peerage."

He became Baron Colgrain. This title was linked to a place called Everlands in the County of Kent. Being a Baron meant he became a member of the House of Lords.

Family Life

Lord Colgrain married Lady Angela Mary Alice in 1890. She was the daughter of Henry Ryder, who was the 4th Earl of Harrowby. Lady Angela passed away in 1939.
