Colomi (which is called Qulumi in the local Quechua language) is a small town in the middle of Bolivia. It's located in the Cochabamba Department, which is like a state or region in Bolivia. Colomi is an important part of the Chapare Province.
This town is the main center for the Colomi Municipality. In 2001, about 3,699 people lived in Colomi. It's a quiet place, known for its natural beauty and unique climate.
Colomi's Climate
Colomi has a special kind of climate because it's high up in the mountains. The town is about 3,309 meters (10,856 feet) above sea level. This high elevation means the weather here is generally cool all year round.
Temperatures in Colomi
The average temperature in Colomi stays pretty steady throughout the year.
- During the day, the highest temperatures are usually around 14 to 15 degrees Celsius (about 57 to 59 degrees Fahrenheit).
- At night, the temperatures drop. The average low is around 7 to 10 degrees Celsius (45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit) for most of the year.
- In the colder months, like June and July, it can get quite chilly. The average low temperatures can even go below freezing, around -0.5 to -0.6 degrees Celsius (30 to 31 degrees Fahrenheit).
