Colonia Nueva Coneta is a village and municipality located in the Catamarca Province in northwestern Argentina. It is a small but growing community.
Where is Colonia Nueva Coneta Located?
Colonia Nueva Coneta is found about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from the city of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca. It sits right next to the Ongolí River. The village is also at the base of the southwestern side of the Sierra de Ambato mountains. This location gives it a beautiful natural setting.
How Many People Live Here?
According to the INDEC in 2010, Colonia Nueva Coneta had 1,951 inhabitants. This number shows a big increase! In 2001, there were 1,497 people living there. This means the population grew by 30% in just nine years.
