Catamarca is a province in Argentina. It is located in the northwest part of the country. The province borders Chile to the west. About 331,847 people live here, according to the 2010 census.
The capital city of Catamarca is San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca. People often just call it Catamarca. Other important cities in the province include Andalgalá, Tinogasta, and Belén.
