Yguazú, also known as Colonia Yguazú, is a city and district in Paraguay. It is located in the Alto Paraná Department. This city was first settled by people who moved there from Japan.

Yguazú is sometimes called the "Capital of Direct Planting." This is because it was one of the first places to use a new farming method. This method helps protect the soil. Most people here are farmers, especially those from Japan. They grow crops like soy, wheat, and macadamia nuts. Many of them are part of a group called the Cooperative Iguaçu Progressive. Farming and raising livestock are the main ways people earn a living here. Yguazú is known as one of the most successful communities in Alto Paraná.

You can reach Yguazú by taking Route II "Mariscal José Félix Estigarribia" or Route VII "Dr. Jose Gaspar Rodriguez de Francia." It's about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Ciudad del Este.
