Colwell Bay is home to three interesting natural features called chines. These are Colwell Chine, Brambles Chine, and Linstone Chine. A chine is a steep, narrow valley that has been carved out by a river or stream flowing down to the sea. They are often found along the coastlines of places like the Isle of Wight.
Getting to Colwell Bay
It's easy to reach Colwell Bay by road. The A3054 road runs through the area, and it's also close to the western end of the A3055 road. If you prefer public transport, you can take the Southern Vectis route 7 bus. There's also the special Needles Tour bus, which offers great views as it travels around the island.
