First Eurovision Appearance (1961)
In 1961, Conchita Bautista took part in the competition to choose Spain's very first song for the Eurovision Song Contest. Her song, "Estando contigo" ("Being with You"), was chosen to represent Spain.
The sixth Eurovision Song Contest was held in Cannes, France, on March 18, 1961. Conchita's song "Estando contigo" was the very first song performed in the contest that year. At the end of the voting, her song placed ninth out of 16 countries.
Second Eurovision Appearance (1965)
